Thank you for these recent Mal Waldron's!
I enjoyed this one tremendously today.
Giving it a second listen now, as I am studying some of the finer points of MIDI routing.
Looking forward to the others also. Pretty sure I have the one with Schoof, Lacy, Woode, and Blairman. Have a number of shows from that unit. They performed together more than one might initially think, for a couple years. A great unit..... But I don't believe I have that excerpt from '67 Baden Baden. I just love Mal period, but late sixties into the early 70's is definitely a high water mark in his long career.
I can't quite put a name to that opening track, but it really sets the mood of the performance.
