Yes a fantastic recording

The shorter piece is the encore, so should be listened in reverse order.

The website of the event is still online:

@Propylaen2001
I was suspecting a wrong order of titles when I got this recording but couldn't check anywhere, thank you for the correction. Once again this music is a killer and proof that Hugh Hopper was a key figure not only in the prog area.
Does it exist others recordings of Hugh Hopper Monster Band beside the side b of the official lp and some more tracks that have been posted here in the past?
I guess no because this band was short lived and obviously only toured in France.

It's a pity that the Monster Band existed for less than 2 weeks only. I don't know of any other recordings than those you mentioned. I am pretty sure this is all we will ever get to hear.

woe only two weeks, I supposed it was like this, only the few concerts in France. It is very strange that Hugh Hopper didn't publish the 25 mn of the performance in Paris then this one and the Bordeaux one should have made a full lp. Even later in the collection that Mike King made for Gonzo, he also doesn't publish this performance. But I know that it is sometimes difficult to deal with the archival radio. I suppose that this performance have been well recorded at the time but has it been kept ?
The Paris performance is important due to the fact that it is with Lol Coxhill, many years later the pair of Dean and Coxhill will play again in a band with Mark Hewins but in my opinion it is not so strong as monster band.

It's also very strange that this recording provided by Ernst has never been officially published. Talking about the 10 volumes of the Gonzo série, this one should have been one of the 10 volumes. Like the "bass on top" it offer a very interesting point of view in Hugh Hopper's music.
