Thank you, Nick. I wonder wether Andy Bey singing might lessen the experience for me.
Nothing against Andy Bey but I'm much more into instrumental music, with comparably few exceptions.

Obviously I'm the only one to have some problems with adrive. I can't download this file and tried with safari and firefox with the same result. So I checked with some older adrive links that I could previously download and the result is the same. Tomorrow I will try again with the connection of my job to see if it comes from my personal connection or if it is a bigger problem.

I asked to three people to download this file and none of them can access, none of them can also access to the rest of adrive, if some followers of this blog are living in France can they report if they can download the file or no?

Big Moncur fan, but never heard him doing standards.
Liked Bey (with Bartz) in his early years, but less sure now.
Anyway, anxious to hear this. Thanks, Nick.

My opinion will certainly be very different but for me it is a disappointing album comparing to his preview recordings on blue note or byg. At this time Grachan Moncur was showing an incredible original style of compositions and playing. The standards on this record are played in a relatively classical style, his sound is still exciting but the mood of the record is in my opinion very far from his preview recordings.
Thank you Nick, it helped me to confirm that "New Africa" is definitely a masterpiece.
