I wonder wether the ensemble playing on the first LP with Parker, Umezu, Abdullah and Sinan is really the same one as this one here.
Only Harada and Umezu do participate on two releases after all. All other musicians gathering under the "motto" Seikatsu Kōjyō Iinkai appear only on one of the three from the seventies.
The fourth one listed at Discogs seems to be an entirely different group judging from the cover photograph - or the cover is a 'joke'.
The third - This Is Music Is This!? - is a 11-piece big band. It's a bit confusing.
Maybe it is only a loose group of individuals under a kind of monicker?

It's the life improvement committee - so I guess the clue is in committee that it's a collective.

Yes could be - maybe a kind of Japanese BAG. Certainly an impressive name for the collective.
I would like to suggest more such commitees should be active, not only in musics.
