Jazz na Fábrica - Anthony Braxton Quartet & Roscoe Mitchell

I was in Brazil for a few weeks recently, and came across these two live recordings of the Anthony Braxton Quartet (from 2014) and Roscoe Mitchell solo (from 2013), from the Ao Vivo Jazz na Fabrica  festival in Sao Paulo.

They're both excellent, and show both musicians at the top of their game, so I can strongly recommend buying these. No rips here, obviously, but there are some samples on the SESC web page, here.

I was at Braxton's concert and you wouldn't believe how many people left before the end -- like, half of the audience. even my girlfriend hated it, despite having enjoyed Brötzmann some years before. unfortunately the Brazilian Avant scene is not as strong as it was back then in the 70s and 80s.

absolutely no idea how to buy these - it's always a challenge to buy any CDs from Brazil - can never find a trusted source

You can buy them directly from SESC - it's at the bottom of the page I linked to. I found them in a branch of Livraria Cultura, which also has a web shop. Both of these would be trustworthy sources, IMO.

There's been a further release in this excellent series. It's the William Parker quartet, (with Hamid Drake, Rob Brown and Lewis Barnes), and a concert from 2015. I picked up a copy in the Livraria Cultura branch in Avenida Paulista, but I think it's also available from instantjazz in Europe, and dusty groove in the US.
