The concert took place in January 1969 in Munich, after this all-star group toured South America the year before. So, it was kind of a reprise for their German fans. (I met Albert Mangelsdorff, the trombonist on this exquisite cover shot, a few times - an exquisite musician and a very likeable person.)

Finally I got to hear it thanks to you Nick.
Tom Lord's discography says it was recorded in spring '69.
But wether January or spring it is a great share. Especially for my recent research interests.
Thanks again!

I have an excerpt from this recording, published many years ago in Italy in an LP dedicated to Mangelsdorff, where the reported date is January 19, 1969
