Anything of Grossman in the 70's is a must. I wore this Record out trying to learn these solos...thank you.

He made a Great Pair of Albums for red records in 1984, with the stunning rhythm section of Juni Booth and Joe Chambers..'way out west'
i think they have been reissued ..

Wondering why Steve Grossman is not often considered a great saxophonist? perhaps because he have started by playing fusion and for some obscur reasons some people consider that fusion is a crime, but this album show all of his quality. The mastery of Jenny Clark is now famous. The music might sound simple for some ears but the feeling is absolutely great.

Thank you Ernst.
"Wondering why Steve Grossman is not often considered a great saxophonist?"

No doubt the vagaries of the marketplace, how much you're willing to push yourself in the public eye, play into all the bullshit in the jazz press...

Sad news, a truly great player (Elvin once stated: afetr Coltrane Steve is the one, and that says it all...)

Very beautiful music by two immense musicians, discreet but fabulous. I didn't know Steve Grossman, so I won't talk about it but JFJC was a very very beautiful person... many many thanks.
