Thanks for the 'upgrade',on this wonderful album!
I should spend all summer in thankings, Nick, but, since the human nature is never satisfied, I wonder if you know a SME record with Nigel Coombes, a quartet I believe (1970?) whose cassette I lost or the duo with Paul Bley and Masahiko Togashi. A million thanks for your work!

I don't know any Nigel Coombes as early as 1970. Do you think it was Biosystem with Colin Wood & Roger Smith, 1977? It is still available on LP from Incus. The Bley/Togashi is Echo, on SME (Sony Music Entertainment in this case). It's also in print and you can get it from CDJapan or amazon Japan.

Biosystem has been reissued on psi with extra tracks. The notes say that Roger Smith's guitar had broke the day before and he had to nip out to Woolworths to get a new one. Check out some Coombes with SME on my recent post. Also try 'The Occaassional Quartet' on Nick Stephens' Loose Torque label, with Garry Todd, Nick, and Tony Marsh from 2006.
