Ah! Ceci une surprise extraordinaire.
Just coming home from a meeting with friends where we listen to creative music and talk about politics, philosophy and enjoy our friendship with some food and wine.
Since I read Ekkehard Jost's book "Europas Jazz 1960 - 1980" in 1986 I was looking for this music.

Thanks Nick.
I'm not really into "free music" but this early Portal album looks worth listening to.
Cheers

Great LP, took many years to find a nice vinyl copy of it but the hunt was worthwhile.

Some great footage of Michel Portal in trio with Barre Phillips and Jacques Thollot can be seen here:

Nice seeing this one here. It has been slightly out of my price range, to put it mildly, the few times it has appeared on certain auction sites.

Anyone has "Splendid yzlment" from a little later?

I'm a huge fan of the Unit albums that came after that. Have them both.

Another great collaboration Kühn-Thollot and the master Portal with one of his best albums!
Great cover! Anyone could help with the artwork in HQ?
Thanks Nick!
