This is nice, very loose and relaxed.

There isn't a lot of Phillip Wilson available as leader, is there? All I know is that one trio with Johnny Dyani and Leo Smith.

Matt W:

In addition to the "Fruits" LP you mentioned, on Circle 14778 with Dyani and Smith, there are also two other well-known Phillip Wilson LP's: "Esoteric" on Hat Hut Q (a duet with Olu Dara) and "Live at Moers Festival" on Moers 01062 (with Dara, Frank Lowe and Fred Williams), from 1977 and 1978 respectively.

Beautiful share, riccardo.
Many thanks.

Phillip Wilson is a co-leader in another duet album from 1978 with Lester Bowie, under very inspiring title "Duet".

Absolutely. I have it and recommend it fully.

Large thanks riccardo !
Your vault goes on and on - if not forever, then for miles and miles . . .
Have always loved Philip Wilson's drumming, and his "Trio + Guests" sound like they're having fun here.
Dig Donald Smith (Lonnie Liston's brother) and his bedroom slow-burn tribute to 'his laydee' - track 2 here. !!
