Sevda is a unique fusion of Turkish music and Swedish jazz, which grooves naturally in exotic time signatures (like 7/8 and 9/4), blending textures, rhythms and swinging improvisations into an exciting whole. It was recorded live at a TV studio, and at the time nobody had any idea it would be issued as a record. On drums is the great Okay Temiz, who also played with Don Cherry for some time (as well as did Maffy Falay).

the perfect link between onxidlib´s upload of the bernt rosengren quartet and the temiz-dyani lp from a few days ago.
it is a mono-LP, but it burns!

I don't know maffy falay...some days ago I learned who is Bernt Rosengren and I already knew okay temiz for don cherry and south african collaborations...this record smells to be something great!! I have to thank you all the incostant uploaders for the good vibes and the knowledge gifted in the last months...I learned a lot from this blog in the last times with the east germany and japanese series
All my gratitude

Thanks Owombat!! I think it's very rare found out this in the blogsphere
It's a divine stuff this post and the last ones!
Thank you
Intriguing, this one, with a strong Turkish flavour, as could be expected. And in glorious mono!
I've been listening a lot to this one and liking it the more I listen. There is a potential theme here we might explore more - namely "jazzified" folk music or traditional music. I'm planning to go deeper into it in coming posts.
Now THIS is a find and a half. A find and THREE QUARTERS, in fact! Thanks a million! :o)
Wow! Thanks a million! Really looking forward to this one!
Great series of Swedish rare grooves you've got going. About to DL them all in the next coming weeks (as I'm currently sitting on a slow connection, which is a drag)
