These are not from my dusty old tapes, but from Gus' dusty old tapes - so thanks to him!
(Excuse the erroneous metadata titles - I've no idea how to edit them)
Enjoy.

Well this is a thrilling development. Was not aware of Colbeck as late as '79. And any new Ossie is cause for celebration. Thanks for the joy.
Thank you for this. Especially the Colbeck Quartet and Gare's duo with a drummer I've never heard of is welcome.
Big thanks
The Colbeck tracks were broadcast in '79 but were probably recorded around the same time as his Fontana LP. Charles Fox's introduction may have been prerecorded around that time as well, since it mentions then-recent recordings with Noah Howard.
Thanks Andy-n-Gus. The recording w/ Ric Colbeck increases what I've heard of his playing by a third.
Thank-you very much
Whoa!
Wow! what a find. Thanks Andy
Thanks a lot for sharing!
Thank you!
Does someone have noticed that obviously in his introduction to Rip Colbeck’s quartet, Charles Fox is talking about one album « still to be released » with Bennie Maupin, Sunny Murray, Sonny Sharrock and Byard Lancaster?
Never heard about this project that should have been his second lp.
Thank you very much for these. Are there any dusty old Derek Bailey solo sessions from Radio Three by any chance?
Many thanks
@ Rev. There is one. Stay tuned.
Will do Andy, many thanks. One of the first things I taped off the radio after discovering 'Jazz In Britain' was The Exeter Free Jazz Duo who I loved both the music and the name of. That tape got stolen 35 years ago!
New Colbeck. How wonderful. Thanks so much!
Concerning the quartet recordings with Sharrock,I've seen them mentioned quite a few times. I'm not going to search right now, but the most tantalizing lead I recall was a playlist from a radio show on a station on NY, a show hosted by Weasel Walter, which listed a cut from the sessions. It made me think the station has a tape, maybe THE tape. I for one would love to hear it - Colbeck is always great, and I like Sharrock when the context pushes him outside.
Great collection of music, many thaanks Andy
Wow, I missed that back in 2020. Tippett with Stabbins and Colbeck with Osborne, lovely!
Oh, my! Just seeing this now. thanks, Andy -- hideo
