Interesting looking line-up of tunes here..Of course we all know how Shepp moved his focus almost exclusively back to standard material..Still makes you wonder what the other efant terribles from the October revolution made of it? Somehow can't imagine Cecil Taylor, Bill dixon et al being so enamoured of the Cole Porter songbook etc.
While both the pianist and the trumpet player are unknown to me, I look forward to hearing this concert. After all: any Shepp is better than no Shepp! Many thanks for the posting.
