Very nice! Thanks Riccardo.

Am I confused, or is the first track partly "For Fats," as heard on Bush Baby and Horace Tapscott's The Giant Is Awakened? It sounds to me as though they're alternating that with another theme (which might be Miss Nancy).

@ matt w

i had the same doubt while naming
the track : probably "Miss Nancy"
and "For Fats" are the same tune...

hello Riccardo,
'just wanted to say thank you for all the goodies you've been offering of late.
'just got around to listening to the Steve Lacy/Steve Potts you offered in the Requests, Contributions and General Discussion section a while ago and I really LOVED it.
thanks again.

Looks a winner..Shame rapidshare is acting up with its 'buy a premiuim account or nothing' attitude at present..Hopefully I'll get to this at some point..

Oh man, it's totally great that you uploaded this recently, because I actually scored a record of this group from the Exclusive in Milwaukee for four dollars, but then I got home and found they accidentally put some shitty disco record in the sleeve. This totally makes up for it though, thanks!

Incredible! what a group. They can really swing, even when they're playing far out. Being a piano player, I really admire John Hicks for being able to play any style so compellingly. Thanks a lot.

One swingin' band! Many thanks for this post...

Hello, thank you for all of your Arthur Blythe posts. They are incredible.
I have recently discovered Blythe and I am finding it incredibly difficult to source his earlier albums such as The Grip, Metamorphosis and Lenox Avenue Breakdown. Since these albums are so rare and out of print, is there any chance of a post?
Many thanks
RP
