Hello Onx',
good idea to re-post these EPs on Inconstant Sol. The Bboogieman's blog is dormant and will remain so for a couple of years probably. Cheers from the Southern Hemisphere.
At least they got his name right on this one! George-----ahem, GARY, seems to have come to the gramophone a mature musician. His security amidst his occasionally awkward section-mates is impressive; the simple and direct bass solo on "Topsy" might almost be him saying to the pianist "mean what you say" or "less can be more, my friend." Some nice blowing from Koller, too. :-)
