This is one of my most important musical memories of Peter Brotzmann. Years ago, I had the opportunity to organize a PB Chicago Tentet concert. I had completely forgotten that such a recording existed. But now my friend found them in his archive.

Surely one of the giants of free jazz in Europe and beyond. I was lucky enough to see him live in 2020 at the Underflow Club in Athens, Greece, solo and in duet with Heather Leigh. He was terrific, blowing as hard as ever, even though he was almost 80. Between sets I talked to him briefly, and he signed on the cover of a Die Like A Dog Quartet album for me. R.I.P. Peter Brötzmann.

Seems like only just seen him play couple of months ago in London… Totally unacceptable!
