This is a to me unknown Karel Růžička. Thank you, Milo!
BTW - several years ago I had a youger woman (that is younger than myself) in the shop who convincingly told me that Růžička is her father. She was quite astonished that I knew her fathers name and even some recordings from him. During our nice but a bit strange conversation I got the impression that her relationship to him must be somehow filled with a certain tension, although she "defended" her father's musical merits. Not that this would have been necessary to convince me about his artistic quality.
Thank you for this story, Ernst. I didn't know that Růžička has daughter, but I know his son, Karel Růžička Jr., who is saxophone player and lives in US for years now. Recently he released album with John Pattitucci and Jeff "Tain" Watts.
