Thank you, Nick. Boy Edgar is way underrated - except in the Netherlands. Since I bought the CD released by the Nederlands Jazz Archief a few years ago I came to enjoy his work. On 'Finch Eye' we can hear Willem Breuker's first recorded appearance.
But from which recording did you get 'Crash'? And you do not happen to have his suite 'Music was his mistress'?
Thanks for this treat. Somewhat amazing to think Boy Edgar (the bandleader) had no musical background. He studied medicine at the University of Amsterdam (PhD in research on Multiple Sclerose). And during the 2nd world war he, als part of the resistance, helped jewish children to their safety.
Nick, I feel very ashamed because I didn't thank you in time for this post and for satisfying my request. Thanks to you, I am now fulfilled. You are one of my heroes!!!

Hi - Ernst - "Crash" is from "The best of Boy's Big Band" and I don't have his Ellington suite, though maybe someone has.
I just learned about Edgar very recently, and like his music very much. Thanks a lot!
Many thanks
I've been looking for these albums and really appreciate the extra tracks, as well. Thank you!
Thank you very much!
