That's very interesting. I have this recording but not this extended version.
Thanks!

I'm told the extra track is the same cut that also appeared on Noah Howard's "Space Dimension."

It's a little longer than the Space Dimension cut.

Many thanks. I have only Black Keys CD, and Japanese LP in wonderful upgrade.

Looking forward to listening to a longer version.

I've only heard of Calumet before as a photography company, and I'm sure there's no connection - does anyone know the origin of the label name?

Thanks Nick, never heard any version before.

do you have "ginkai" by Hozan Yamamoto?

No Ginkai

"Ginkai" is Japanese for "Silver World" - so we have it (thanks to you Nick) here at IS > http://inconstantsol.blogspot.de/2015/02/hozan-yamamoto-silver-world-philips-1971.html

Re the extra music. I checked my records a while back when discussing this on another forum. The extra music on the Japanese Frank Wright is the "Church number nine" track on Noah Howard's "Space Dimension" (which didn't really belong there in the first place). It's been restored (it's longer and doesn't have the fade out-pause-restart) and the sound is far superior.

I remember having this from the Church Number 9 blog days! my hard drive crashed in the (long) meantime and among the lost files was also the calumet version. I now I realize that I aslo never listened to the "extended" japanese (original) issue. I recently revisited the album at youtube and I was stunned by the spiritual quality of the performance. This is the Albert Ayler path which only few could explore. I am sure the vinyl rips of both records must sound incredible but I am not sure whether these lps are eligible for a re-up. I pray they are !
