Nice seeing it here. I got a copy of this one recently, realising that there was a hole in my Lester Bowie collection. He did another one with Philip Wilson for those of you who enjoyed this one and want to investigate further.

Wow, didn't know about this one. Love that Bowie-Wilson duet, and the one with Bowie and Charles Bobo Shaw. Interesting to see this is bass and trumpet, a different setting for Bowie. From 1985, so was his last album before Brass Fantasy?

It could have been at the same time. He did some collaborations with the Brass Brothers in the 1990s which resulted in a cd release:
