PETER KOWALD "BASS SOLO" (QBICO, 2000)




Limited edition of 99 - plus 26 copies from the "German bag" edition (which contained Qbico 86/87/88/89) - a few weeks after the release it was OOP.

I had thought about posting this marvelous solo concert for some time but Nick got it apace of me - so here we have his rip of...:

I would recommend the film "Rising Tones Cross" by Ebba Jahn for a first-hand account of the NY scene at the beginning of the 1980s. Some interesting conversation snips between Kowald and Charles Gayle in it and clips of several others prominent on the scene at the time.
