....Requests
Requests, broken links, re-ups and related topics go here. It may be
easier for admins to be attentive to these topics if they are put here
and not under the individual posts. There's no guarantee that we may be
able to respond to everything, but we'll give it a try.
I've deleted the previous 'Requests' post as it was becoming a bit unwieldy.
I shall start the requests with the last one from the previous thread.

@Jim: Honestly, I think it's a matter of difference of degree more than anything else. But if it's off the blogs, I'll put it up here for sure. Fortunately, I have more spare time now. Just completed a 350-page manuscript (phew!).
hello any possiblity of a re up of this patrizio fariselli antropofagia?

Thank you from France
Fred
I'll re-up "Zvug" and "Antropofagia" during the next days.
Or better as soon as I find them....
thanks onxidlib

robert
@onxidlib
Thank you VERY much for "Zvug", "Antropofagia,
and ... ? (I love surprises, the good ones).
James Flagg - as far as I know, Hampel still sells his music via his homepage:
http://gunterhampelmusic.de/?page_id=21
The "8th of July" has been #001 of his label "Birth Records", and I think it's still in print (I bought the CD version in the 1990's). At a concert I saw Hampel selling CD-r's of his music (I bought a trio with Perry Robinson and Lou Grassi - magnificent!).
OK. Noted. Mine is a Flying Dutchman release from 1970 while the one I was directed to was on Hampel's own Birth label. Re-release I take it, otherwise identical with the FD release from what could be seen from the scans of the front and back. The FD release was a fold-out with long liner notes inside by Nat Hentoff, regular jazz scribe with the Village Voice at the time. Interesting read.
@kinabalu
Could you re-up :
http://inconstantsol.blogspot.fr/2009/04/brotzmannkondopupillonilssen-love-live.html
And, thanks to you, I bought the cd "Hairy Bones".
@onxidlib
I'm fascinated by T. Kondo !
Could you re-up (when you have time) :
http://inconstantsol.blogspot.fr/2011/05/milford-graves-meditation-among-us.html
And ... by chance ... if you have it :
Fuigo from a Different Dimension
(and I'll make a break for my requests ...)
HI Fred - I'll re-up "Meditation Among Us" soon.
I also have the "Fuigo" LP from Kondo (already ripped).
Shall post it as well.
Probably a reminder (in about ten days or so) from you would be useful.
@Jim:
Re. the Hampel lp, I suggest a compromise. Since it appears that Hampel is still selling it, it would not be proper to put it here, but I can always do a private rip for you. Could you please contact me c/o my gmail address? You can find it in my profile.
@Fred: That can be arranged.
Hello,
One gem (j’aime), and probably a second one :
http://inconstantsol.blogspot.fr/2008/12/creative-construction-company-vol-2muse.html
http://inconstantsol.blogspot.fr/2008/12/creative-construction-company-vol-1muse.html
My vol.2 is completely scratched and i never had the opportunity to listen the vol.1 !
Is someone have these Lp and could post them ?
(I promised not to make too much requests, but it’s difficult because there are so many beautiful things here … I hope my English is readable !)
@Fred: I should have both of them in the archives and I have the actual albums as well, so a re-up should be feasible. I'll use the digital files if I can find them as that would be quicker.
@ kinabalu : What do you mean by « actual » albums. I have not found them, except used !
Now, it’s not a request (though …) : i bought recently a CD of Daunik Lazro with Joelle Leandre (No Business Records), a marvel, and I wondered why there is so little of his music here (and elsewhere too !). Because (for me, of course) it's amazing how this musician grew in thirty years (first date I « saw »him in concert).
Anyway , thank you again.
@Fred: What I meant to say is that I have the physical items myself, the actual lps. Used, definitely, because these were issued originally in the mid-70s and I only got them at least 30 years later. I only located one mp3 copy in the archives, which means I did not download them at the time, possibly because I already had them and throught it unnecessary. Anyway, I'll look around and rip my own copies (unless Sotise reads this and can repost them from his own files).
A quick update: After further online snooping, I managed to locate digital copies of both CCCs. It's conceivable that they may have been downloaded from this blog and then posted elsewhere. I can't verify that, but it's not unusual. In any case, I have the files so I'll have them up and running in a little while.
@kinabalu : Thank you for the details.
« Rien ne presse » !
You mentioned Sotise, so I was reminded of 9GC, and in the same time I took a look at the feeds :
9GC is back !
The post « So anyway » looks like a catharsis …
@kinabalu
Thank you for both CCC, and for the flac (but it's strange : vol 2 sounds like mp3 !)
Could finally listened vol 1.
I know it's a long shot;
Howard Riley trio – discussions and/or Staffan Harde / SJR 1971. Merci.
Hi,

Can you please re-up the Jiří Stivín & Pierre Favre – Výlety / Excursions?

Has anyone got a lossless rip of Arthur Jones' "Scorpio" album to share, please?
Does anyone know if there is any audio in existence from the TOTAL MUSIC MEETING 1968? Outside of the amazing G. Hampel/S. Sharrock/P. Sanders live @Quasimodo tape? Even if not the music itself, if anyone knows if my search is futile or not that would be appreciated
Apart from the Hampel recording I there are at least three more recordings from the TMM 1968:
- John McLaughlin (g); Donata Höffer (p); Peter Kowald (b); John Stevens (d) (~ 27 minutes)
- Manfred Schoof (tpt); Paul Rutherford (tb); Peter Brötzmann (ts, bs); Evan Parker (ts); Willem Breuker (ts); Fred Van Hove (p); J.B. "Buschi" Niebergall (b); Peter Kowald (b); Han Bennink (d)
(about 6 minutes)
- Don Cherry (p, voc); Han Bennink (d) (~ 6 minutes)
I can settle the ~27min file in Contributions here if that is a help...
BUA - please go on - your help is certainly appreciated.
It is done...(and with 10 more minutes on the clock! :-)
Any chance for a reupload of Archie Sheppe live in Antibes 1977 and Archie Shepp a Massy?

Many thanks onxidlib.
can you reup JEAN-CHARLES CAPON / PHILIPPE MATÉ / BUTCH MORRIS / SERGE RAHOERSON – UNTITLED (PALM 26, 1977), please? very precious album
Inconstant Sol has been an incredible resource for many years and I am very grateful for that. If anyone could re-post any of the following Takehisa Kosugi projects(some of which have already been requested by others), I would be even more grateful, if that is possible:

Sam Rivers...
While everyone knows and likes Rivers I recently have more appreciation for him... here is something could be re-upped... and what and why is the zorn takayanagi listed in the thread and is that available?
@ santos curser - there is a post with Zorn and Takayanagi.

Unfortunately someone asked to remove the links - is a reissue on the horizon?!
Doubt it but who knows...
looking for Wayne Horvitz,Butch Morris & Bobby Previte "Nine Below Zero" Sound Aspects. Appreciate any help.
I have "Nine Below Zero" - and it's OOP.
Hope to find it soon...
Bulkang U. Antibop and mew23, I have been away for a while and have just seen the links to Night And Day and am downloading them now. Thank you both very much! Can't wait to start listening!
Thanks onxidlib, looking forward to you finding.
To the reader above who requested Stomu Yamash'ta's "Sunrise from the West Sea" here is an mp3 rip of it. Maybe not best bitrate but is all I have!

Would it be possible for a re-up of Mario Schiano : Partenza Di Pulcinella Per La Luna?
Thank you.
Anyone have Giorgio Gaslini's "Nuovi Sentimenti" or "New Feelings"? Although said to be in print, I cannot find it. Thanks!!

Any reup possible for Ekkehard Jost, http://inconstantsol.blogspot.com/2011/02/ekkehard-jost-quintet-carambolage.html
Thanks very much to Norm for the Yamash'ta files. It's great to be able to hear this for the first time.
this has new links:

Does anybody know if any live recordings exist of the rather short-lived New Phil Woods Quartet from 1973/74 when he had keyboardist Pete Robinson, bassist Henry Franklin and drummer Brian Moffatt in the lineup?
onxidlib, I was wondering if you've had any luck finding "Nine Below Zero"?
Thanks to Onxidlib for the upgraded Yamash'ta files. I notice that while the CCMC vol. 1 & 2 links are still active, the CCMC vol. 3 links are dead. Any chance of reposting that one? Here's the page:
http://inconstantsol.blogspot.com/2013/06/ccmc-volume-three-music-gallery.html
@ James Manion - not yet but I'll keep on trying to locate it.
Hi,
Wondering if someone could reupload or has a link to

Please help - I re-upped the Free Jazz Workshop Wuppertal 1979.
Unfortunately it has happened what all digital files might face - the end of track four is full of digital 'clicks'.
Maybe someone who has downloaded then has a version which is whithout these annoying sounds.
I have two versions but both are defect."
I checked my copy and the files within it are dated 2010 (I suspect they came from a DAD post). Listening I didn't hear many glaring issues, though there was one larger click on the left channel (that could to some degree be repaired). Looking carefully in an audio editor I see that whatever disc those came from was probably starting to degrade even then as there are some slight digital errors within the waveform. All in all it is not pristine but certainly quite listenable and not as distracting as I sense the newer version is. So I've uploaded it here if any would like to compare.
http://we.tl/lyqoCBKWIY
Link good for a week, though please repost it more permanently if this is an improvement.
As mentioned I could probably apply some good software to the few moments where something looks amiss but that may be more time than I can dedicate to it at the moment.
The link for Rasimov's alternate version of that song has gone dead. Also the links for Rasimov's fix of the Radio Stuttgart problem files has also gone dead. If any could repost those I'd appreciate it.
Would be greatly appreciated if someone could re-up this:
Steve Lacy & Mal Waldron - Live in Basel '85
From the depth of "Ilario's archive", one of
the greatest and classic Duo of all the eighties.
Rec. live in Basel, Switzerland, on April 19, 1985
(mics recording)
Thank you very much JC - I had almost forgot the issue.
Please tell me which Radio Stuttgart recording do you mean?
Appreciated - thanks again!!
^ Rasimov had noted in this section last year:
Some time ago I downloaded the Radio Jazz Group Stuttgart session from June 1977 (with Christmann/Parker/Schlippenback/Dauner/Kowald/Lovens/Lytton) from UbuRoi (I guess). I found that (especially) tracks 4 and 5 were in a bad condition with plenty of very short continuous gaps obviously caused by too excessive use of noise reduction tools. They tend to (often with their default settings) not only remove noise and clicks but also lower frequencies and in quiet parts it sounds as if there is something cut out.
Well here are the repaired (tracks 4 + 5) and "remixed" files of the Radio Jazz Group Stuttgart, June 13, 1977 :)
but those links are now dead and I missed it here, so was hoping someone might put them back up. Thanks.
Anon:
Flacs reposted there:
http://inconstantsol.blogspot.com/2010/03/steve-lacy-mal-waldron-live-in-basel-85.html
@ JC - I'll do a reup tomorrow.
Don't know wether I have also the two tracks from Rasimov.
Let's hope for the best ;-)
Concerning digital glitch from CD rips. There is nothing wrong with the digital files, per say, if you keep and store them on a hard drive. The problem happens when you burn them to CDs, that's when the glitch happen. When you rip a CD you have burned, it's 50% chances no glitch or 50% with glitch, and I have no idea what causes it. We should never burn to CDs, it all comes from it.
burning to cdr at slower speeds causes less glitches. but cdrs also decay. especially those with the blue service. i still have cassettes that play after 38 years
cdrs will not last that long.
robert
Any chance for a re-up of the
HARTMUT GEERKEN / MICHAEL RANTA box set? That would be excellent.
http://inconstantsol.blogspot.com/2008/08/kahil-elzabar-with-david-murray-golden.html Please repost if possible.
http://inconstantsol.blogspot.com/2008/08/kahil-el-zabar-ritual-trio-another-kind.html one more request please
Yesterday I listened to Wolfgang Dauner's Et Cetera in Altena 1972. What really surprised me was Attila Zoller's guitar playing - so different from what I knew from him so far.
Can anybody tell if there is any more stuff with him where he is playing in a similar vein?
^ It appears from reading the Kahil posts that the above two requested Kahil projects on Sound Aspects were requested to be removed as being in print (at least at that point)? As a policy (or convenience) maybe the pages should be removed when the material isn't permitted though?
The EHE Cologne set posted somewhat earlier seems to have only returned in MP3 (though may have only been here as such). That might be more worthwhile (in flac) and less controversial...

How about:
Serge Ermoll's Free Kata – Spontaneous Improvisations
OR
(same)-The New Language Of Music, Vol. 2
Vol.2's New Language of Music is still in the pipeline. Sadly I do not have Free Kata's Spontaneous Improvisations...
Louise Holdsworth told me that her dad once dedicated a song to her: Every little breeze. Problem is, not even Allan can produce it... :-(
I see that it has been broadcast by the BBC, and that once you had the FLAC file for that broadcast:
http://inconstantsol.blogspot.nl/2009/03/ray-warleigh-at-bbc.html
Do you still have that around somewhere? Louise would be mightly pleased, and I guess Allan would be delighted as well... I'll see if I can get an email address where you could send it.
Please please with a cherry on top...
No don't know but if that's the same Jimmy Jackson that plays organ on Mal Waldron The Call I'd like to hear it too. Will you re-upload Mal Waldron - Mal Live 4 to 1 please? Also can you get the SAMADHI “MASAHIKO MEETS GARY” under the Gary Peacock link to work again? Also how do I create an account on here? I ain't that computer literate. john
I'll re-up both LPs soon.
@peterh,
there's a new download link for Allan Holdsworth's BBC show at the Ray Warleigh post you qouted. Hope you enjoy it.
Please - could someone re-up a recording I've most probably deleted from my hd > http://inconstantsol.blogspot.de/2011/02/mal-waldron-gary-peacock-first.html
AND - In August 2014 I have asked for a rip of Peter Van De Locht, Boy Raaijmakers "At Different Times" .
Rasimov77 has send a rip only a few days later here in the Requests section.
Me - a bit slow - has realised it only today!!
Sorry for my quite belated thank you Rasimov77 - and for the still working links!
Don Cherry-Togetherness (1965) really needs a re-up. precious lp

Here's an old mp3 rip (from Soulseek and Arkadin's Ark)

A CD with 2 tracks added was released on West Wind in 1990 (Discogs [r3925640])
Hectron, in case you look for the real stuff by Nancarrow - there are still 2 CD-sets available.
The original 1750 Arch recordings from 1977 in a remastered 4CD-box, feat. his 2 original Ampico player pianos:

And the Wergo 5CD box with rec. from 1988, where one of the original pianos was missing:

Hope that helps
@mew23...thanks very much for the link, this one's right up my street!
I'll keep an eye out for copy of the West Wind CD but in the meantime has anyone got a lossless rip they can share?
Friends, I am looking for a lossless copy of Miroslav Vitous' album Purple. Anybody out thereto help me out? By the wqy, is it really true that this album was never released on cd? Hard to believe...
Hi propylaen2001 - here's it as mp3 > http://www39.zippyshare.com/v/UWPp9Pov/file.html
Got it from this blog > http://elbarberoloco.blogspot.de
respectively http://elbarberoloco.blogspot.de/2015/03/miroslav-vitous-john-mclaughlin.html
I'm searching in Flac the NDR Jazzworkshop No.100 - Keith Jarrett Quartet (w/ Dewewy Redman!) from April 18, 1974 at Studio 1 des NDR Funkhauses, Hannover.
Any help would be appreciated.
I'm sorry to be a nuisance; would be grateful, when you have time, if you could post District 6 'To be Free', please. Appreciative of all that you do. Many thanks - Jeff.
I do not have District 6 "To Be Free".
But it's available at discogs for a reasonable price > http://www.discogs.com/sell/release/771947?ev=rb
One more request from me.
I'm searching for a recording of the Globe Unity Orchestra.
Recorded in Berlin on November 7, 1970.
The recording contains three tracks:
1. Globe Unity 70 (A. von Schlippenbach) 17:51
!2. Ode (M. Schoof) 12:54
!3. Drunken in the Morning Sunrise (P. Brötzmann) 9:53
The first tune was released on an Atavistic CD which I have.
There's also a video of the event which was available elsewhere at the web some time ago.
But the other two 'songs' is what I would like to hear.
So - maybe someone is able to provide me (us) with the last two tracks - preferably in flac.
I know it was broadcasted on radio.
Thanks in advance.
@ onxidlib: At the NDR Jazzworkshop no. 100 Keith Jarrett played with his European Quartet. So no Dewey Redman but Jan Garbarek playing the sax. See here: http://www.plosin.com/milesahead/Tapes.aspx?s=19740418a
@ onxidlib: I have the TV broadcast of the Globe Unity Orchestra. It is 32 minutes long and includes the two tracks you are looking for and 8 minutes from the first track, I'll upload it tomorrow.
Your earlier request for a recording of the Keith Jarrett Quartet is not quite clear to me. The NDR Jazz Workshop no. 100 was performed by the Jarrett-Garbarek Quartet, it was re-broadcast several times, only 10 days ago it was on TV again.
However if you are really looking for a bootleg of KJ's American Quartet I have 3 recordings to offer: Berlin Jazz Festival 1973, Milwaukee 1976 and Willisau 1976 (the last one in mono). It may take a few days to upload that but feel free to make your choice :-)
Thanks propylaen2001. Off course it's Garbarek - my imagination went somehow nuts.
Garbarek is OK - at least during his first years (up to 1973) but Dewey Redman is an unsung master IMHO.
Thanks you, mew23 - it was my mistake.
It's really the 100th workshop I'm looking for - with Garbarek - re-broadcasted about ten days ago in the BR.
But the American's Quartet from Berlin 1973 would be welcomed by me as well.
And Globe Unity would be simply great.
I bought a book from Hans Kumpf titled "Postserielle Musik und Free Jazz" which includes an analysis from Schoof's "Ode" which was played and broadcasted at the Berlin Jazz Festival in November 1970.
Apart from being always interested in Schoof's music this reading made me really curious.
Thank you for your help!
mew23,
i would be interested in all 3 of the live jarret with redman i love that band.got to see them abt 6 times
thanks robert

Hi, anyone have to share Cecil Taylor's 'Nicaragua No Pasaran'? Thanks very much.
@ Andy . i saw this post bout Keith Tippett on this blog. well, im a collector of private recordings, and i DO like very much Keith T in solo setting. i also did a workshop with him couple years ago (imm a jazz musician too) well i write here as i dont find any way to contact you. i dont like the sound of digital recordings. so when a recording is done in analog way i look for a direct analog copy of the original analog master tape (copied onto a new tape, same kindas original so i see in the notes of the post that is a soundboard cassette recording... please it woud be possible to get a cassette copy made directly from original cassette? (please NO CD -> cassette or flac/mp3 -> cassette, thus source would be digital already..) id like to preserve a REAL ORIGINAL copy while other people are happy like digtal transfer.. i can provide a cassette blank to make the copy AND i can provide you some rare Keith Tippett recordings to make an Exchange. please let me know is IMPORTANT, please if youwant contact me at: jimlayours@yahoo.com much thanks! Tony
@ onxidlib: I'm afraid I did not say 'Thanks' yet for the Miroslav Vitous. I already had it as mp3- was wondering if somebody got a lossless rip.

Please could anyone help? Been looking for District Six 'To Be Free' for years. Actually saw this lineup play in support of this album in 1980s. Appreciative of any assistance from the community - Jeff.

@Jeff: Got it! We're talking Edition EG Records 1987, right? I'll rip it and put it up here for sure. We've had more requests for that record, so it will definitely be posted. Hang in there!

@Kinabalu Can't believe you have a copy - thank you so much. I have some interesting stuff archived that I can make available - Jeff

This is not meant to be discourteous in any way. However, I shall follow your advice and try Discogs. Thanks again, keep up the good work - Jeff
Oops .. sometimes you promise more than you can deliver. I still have it and I still plan to have it posted here, but with the benefit of hindsight, perhaps best not to put a date on it. Too much to do in the outside world, I'm afraid. Lame excuse, I know ...
Any chance of a re-up of the Charles Tolliver "New Tolliver"
Baystate? Many Thanks!
@ Dark Matter - I'll re-up 'New-Tolliver' soon.
Any chance of a re-up of Johnny Mbizo Dyani's Witchdoctor's Son 'Together'? Many Thanks!

Will need some time - I've searched for the CD and haven't found it yet. But I shall try to locate it.
Looking for a recording from a 1965 Belgian radio station – a performance by a Peter Brötzmann big band featuring Kris Wanders. Far as I can tell, there's no official release. There's a chance a document exists though.
Would you please be so kind as to re-up Ray Russells Rites and Rituals? I'd do anything for a vinyl rip of it. Thank you!
Jimi
Hey, thanks for all the great music, any chance of a re-up of:

Could someone please re-up David Murray (Quartet) LIVE AT THE LOWER MANHATTAN OCEAN CLUB Vol.1& 2? Thank you!
@Werben:
The cd was rereleased by Jazzwerkstatt in 2009. You can get it from here:
http://www.hurricanerecords.de/product_info.php?products_id=65402&language=en
Re. Murray: Checking the cd release against the two lps, it looks like one or more tracks have been cropped in order to fit it onto one cd. Bad thing. It might be advisable to get the original lps to get the full versions. In fact, I might consider it myself.
Anyone here got a copy of Archie Shepp's "Doodlin'" they can share, please.
Here's a lossy version of Archie Shepp's "Doodlin'":

Hey, I was wondering if anyone here had either the albums by the Contemporary Jazz Quintet (from Denmark, Action from 1964 and T.C.J.Q. from 1968) or the album by Hugh Steinmetz, Nu. Or both?
"Action" is on itunes
Hello Nick - please re-up the following 'The Quartet" recordings.

Recently I'm re-reading Oxley's biography and listened to a lot of 'old' recordings from him.
Would be nice get one or two new releases from his music wether old stuff or newer productions.
For example the session for the LP February Papers" had 7 more pieces which were never released.
Maybe I should follow his offer and buy a tape or two and do an official production all myself or with another venturous music-lover.
Ken Hyder's Talisker "Land of Stone" can this get a re-up pleease? Thanks so much for all you do http://inconstantsol.blogspot.com/2011/03/ken-hyders-talisker-land-of-stone.html
Never mind my request for Ken Hyder's Talisker "Land of Stone" I found an active link http://www.mediafire.com/download/mmddhj25ytz/Talisker+-+Land+of+Stone.rar
@Norman: I had a brief listen to the alternate upload of Talisker's Land of Stone and to my ears, it did not sound as good as the one I posted in 2011. I'm considering reuploading my rip, so please keep an eye on the post where it was placed originally.
Any of the Frank Wrights due for re-up?
That'd be great. Thanks
