Perry Robinson Trio live in Lindlar, Germany, 2008

Here are two sets from the Perry Robinson Trio, close to two hours in all, recorded at Lindlar which is roughly in the middle of Germny, not too far from Cologne. A small, intimate setting with lots of banter between the songs from Robinson and Schueller. An interesting piece of information, which I didn't know, was that Joe Hill was written by Perry Robinson's father, Earl Robinson, made famous by Joan Baez at the Woodstock festival in 1969. A nice, relaxed gig, this one, to be enjoyed wholeheartedly!

The sound quality is not the best, probably bad recording, but more than listenable

JYM YOUNG'S SAN FRANCISCO AVANTGARDE "PUZZLE BOX" (INTERNATIONAL POLYDOR, 1966)

Not much is known (to me) about Jym Young.
He did play in 1964 with Sonny Simmons and Barbara Donald's band.
Also adding his piano to Dewey Redman's first LP "Look for the Black Star".
Later he became known as Waheem Young in the Bay Area - I even suspect he played piano for one tune on the Steve Miller Band's "Living In The 20th Century".
