The Mototeru Takagi quartet live in Yokohama seems terrific, also the reissue of Total Music Association with one 21 mn bonus track and of course the 5th volume of Sam Rivers's archives, already ordered my copies. The two Don Cherry double cd from blank forms editions are also already available -Summer house session -Organic music theatre I have also found something very interesting, a quartet with Michael Marcus, Joe McPhee, Jay Rosen & the great Warren Smith https://bluerealityquartet.bandcamp.com/album/blue-reality-quartet
From the above mentioned recordings some will be released on vinyl. - Mototeru Takagi Quartet - Live In Yokohama - Itaru Oki Quartet - Live at Jazz Spot Combo 1975 - Don Cherry - The Summer House Sessions - Don Cherry – Organic Music Theatre: Festival de jazz de Chateauvallon 1972 Some CD editions of the above listed releases will contain more or extra music.
Ordered all of these a while back cs. And I agree, I ran into that Blue Reality Quartet when it was announced. The one sample track sounds incredible. Warren Smith's tuned percussion, mmmmmmm. This one is definitely on my radar. Oki and Takagi can't go wrong (2 of my favorites), along with the continuing Sam Rivers archival series.. NoBusiness is killin' it.
Total Music Association - Walpurgisnacht looks quite fascinating, also on NoBusiness. I see Ernst had a hand in producing that one. Kudos brother, for keeping the music alive here and elsewhere, and getting some great music published. Very refreshing to see indeed. Thanks for the investment brother E.
