This unreleased studio recording is flowing at the internet since years.
Mostly announced as an unissued Blue Note date. But this claim most likely isn't correct.
However - great music from one of the masters.
Dewey Redman, alto saxophone, musette
Chris Capers, trumpet
Bob Cunningham, bass
Ed Blackwell, drums
Rashied Ali, drums
Eddie Moore, drums

1fichier is dead,.....please repost help
ReplyDeleteHi rob 60, 1fichier isn't dead. Just tried to download and it worked although I wasn't logged in.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you try it later again or if you're living in the UK you maybe have to use a VPN for your browser.
It seems that 1fichier is blocked in the UK from what I've read the last weeks.
1Fichier is working in UK. Zippyshare is blocked.
ReplyDeleteThanks Andy for better info.
ReplyDeleteLook for the black star is a title that I really love due to its caribbean flavor, so this recording is appreciated. At the time blue note published the two records by Eddie Gale, it is interesting to know that this session was for the same label.
ReplyDeleteHad this, lost it, now have again :-) - thanks Ernst .
ReplyDeleteDespite the common attribution over the years that this session was "recorded for Blue Note", it very probably wasn't. Cuscuna & Ruppli's Blue Note Discography lists a lot of unreleased sessions, but for Redman, his only recording for the label were the 2 sessions with Ornette that produced New York Is Now! & Love Call in April and May 1968.
Thank-you very much
ReplyDeleteThanks very much!
ReplyDeletedelighted to find this, thanks
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ernst!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much!
ReplyDeleteBetter late I guess!! Just saw this while looking for another Redman.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ernest.
Can you please re-upload this?
ReplyDeleteHi RumJazze - the links are still working so no need for a reup.
ReplyDeleteCheers
Hi Enrst. You were right, I was able to download the files and was going to ask what is the difference of the archives in the Fichier1 and 2. Also, you happen to have files for the álbum No Wave from Music Revelation Ensemble? Thanks.
ReplyDeleteHI RumJazze - you have to download both files for the complete music. And I do have No Wave - but we do not post music which readily available. The CD is still available from the label: https://www.moers-music.com/productscd/james-biood-ulmer-amp-music-revelation-ensemble-no-wave-cd1072
