A painter named Marion Brown
One of the most subtle saxophonists of his generation, Marion Brown was also a painter, but that is less well known. There is almost no information on this subject or even representation of his paintings. Recently for a radio program devoted to jazz and visual art, I met the lucky owner of a painting by Marion Brown, here is the reproduction.

I do not think Marion Brown wanted to represent specific musicians, but as a painting belongs to the one who looks at it, you can identify specific musicians if you think they are here.

This painting has been reproduced in the book « musique / arts plastiques: interactions » published by the éditions Minerve, written by Jean Yves Bosseur, in french.
