I saw Kappo's electric jazz band a couple of years ago and they were phenomenal, but I still prefer the earlier acoustic bands.
Thank you, Nick!
Thanks Nick, new to me...
Thanks. Looks pretty rare.
thanks for this Umezu; he is a fantastic player, I've really discovered him with his Klezmer group and later with the Kiki band (an extraordinary guitarist Kido Natsuki).
very good one! i also prefer Kappo's early projects much more than those which with he provides more experimental and eclectic stuff,
thanks much, Nick!
Igor
My first exposure to this fellow. I had to wrap a cool towel around my head when this was done!
my thanks also
Jazz happy and celebratory, wow, just wow!! Thanks!
Great stuff!
I first came to this Umezu circle thru their record with Mal Waldron (you're maybe laughing). It's really good to hear them in their element!!! Am I the only one hearing Vandermark throughout this, FIFTEEN F*CKING YEARS BEFORE VANDERMARK!?!?!?!?! :-DDD He pretty much admits to being a parade of influences, but...
As a side note, I came upon this in searching for a drummer "Kikuchi Koji." But, the picture I have actually resembles Ken Terui more than this Takashi, so...
Anyway, thanks!

Many thanks Mew23 once again you are here to bring back music.
HUGE BIG THX!...
mew23, Thanks for re-uping this post.
Umezi is amazing!! Remember first hearing of Bamboo Village. The way they float out on Blue Tree. Fell in love with his playing and tone.
Can't wait to hear this one.
His early recordings are special.
Many thanks
Thanks for the re-up!
