ReplyDeleteAh! Ceci une surprise extraordinaire.
ReplyDeleteJust coming home from a meeting with friends where we listen to creative music and talk about politics, philosophy and enjoy our friendship with some food and wine.
Since I read Ekkehard Jost's book "Europas Jazz 1960 - 1980" in 1986 I was looking for this music.
Nick > Herzlichen Dank!
Yeehaw! more Portal can't wait to hear it, Thank you Nick. Are you getting any sleep? Don't fall out I would hate to miss what's next.
ReplyDeleteMany thanks.
ReplyDeleteWonderful! One of the very few records of Portal I didn't have. Many thanks, Nick!
ReplyDeleteI've dealt with a poor version of this for a while, thank you!! Superb quality
ReplyDeleteThanks Nick.
ReplyDeleteI'm not really into "free music" but this early Portal album looks worth listening to.
Cheers
Great LP, took many years to find a nice vinyl copy of it but the hunt was worthwhile.
ReplyDeleteSome great footage of Michel Portal in trio with Barre Phillips and Jacques Thollot can be seen here:

Nice seeing this one here. It has been slightly out of my price range, to put it mildly, the few times it has appeared on certain auction sites.
ReplyDeleteAnyone has "Splendid yzlment" from a little later?
I'm a huge fan of the Unit albums that came after that. Have them both.
