  5. Bobby haven't passed away because of the Covid, since several years he had cancer and in the beginning the treatment was successful but recently the treatment was less and less efficient

  6. Sad news...we lost so many great musicians these last year.
Thank you Corvimax for Zussan tape and the last Reform Art Unit shares,

  7. Thanks for this tape corvimax. I didn't have this albume.
Kali was great. I have been watching periodically the last few months, waiting for an article in the Wire or something. I appreciate your post.
I only got to see her a couple times. She didn't really come to Chicago very often, maybe earlier on with Garrett. But I did get to see her twice, a couple years before I moved. Two nights in a row at the Velvet Lounge. The first night she played in a trio with Joe McPhee and Hamid Drake and the second night was a quartet with McPhee, Hamid and William Parker.
The second show was originally scheduled to be played at the Unity Temple in Oak Park, but they moved it to the Velvet because it was so extremely hot out....And Frank Lloyd Wright's Unity Temple has no air conditioning. That place was probably like an oven. They were both great performances.
William Parker also played a show at the HotHouse with Mathew Shipp while he was in town. Good Times!
Saw a bunch of great shows at the Unity Temple, Noah Howard, Steve lacy to name a few, and both those performances got officially released . Partially.
    Thanks again.

  8. Thank you for this. She was a remarkable musician. And, as is clear from her interviews on YouTube, a totally cool person.
