Beb Guerin was a Hero to the clown in his formative, despite the latter-day nonsense spewed in certain quarters about "bad French Rhythm sections". His performances on classic BYG's are high-water marks in unique, creative bassmanship.
This particular album is a latter example of the best French free-jazz stuff; thanks for exposing it to a wider audience!
If anyone has "Beb" stories or biographical knowledge, how 'bout posting it here for us to learn from please. And by the way,"GO Washington WIZARDS!"

  6. Late to the show..... But still allowed entry.
    Thanks for this post Ernst!
....and I agree with Bozo, Beb was a part of many of the great early free jazz groups in France. Vitet, Tusques, Freney....... and obviously many of the the US expats albums. A thrilling time for music in France.
