Wonderful. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteThanks! Interestingly, the following day, 8th June, this band recorded "No Time Left" on Black Saint.
ReplyDeleteThanks a million for this one!! Yes, this is indeed one of Freeman's best quartets. Hoggard brought a lot to the band.
ReplyDeleteTwo years ago you posted a Chico Freeman Quintet recording from Amsterdam (1982-11-14) that included Hoggard. At that time you indicated that you could make FLAC files available. I may be late in asking, but if possible, would love if you could offer those files (even if it is two years later!!).
Listening to this now now. Very nice - thank you!!

ReplyDeletethe Chico Freeman Quintet in Amsterdam (1982-11-14) was a Boromir's post
well, this is a wonderful addition w/ a superb band - Chico at his height, really (sadly)
ReplyDeletenot sure what-all Hoggard's been up to recently, but he sounded pretty good a few years ago w/ the Maupin/Newton Dolphyana band
doubt I'll ever tire of listening to Moye
thank you!
