String Trio Of New York - Live in Moers '79

I've taped this brief
performance during
the 8th edition of the
Moers Festival :
during those years
the German Festival
was really a "special
place" where, first or
after, all the emergent
players would be passed.

on June 3, 1979 (mics recording)

Billy Bang,violin
James Emery,guitar
John Lindberg,bass

2. Abjunctinuity (07:46)
3. Subway Ride With Giuseppi Logan (06:47)

Total Time 38:43

  3. stunning, thanks - envy yr experience - we were snagging every album from Moers we cd afford as they were being released - in many ways you had better exposure to what was going on then than those of us on the west coast usa, let alone anyone in the heartland . . .

always appreciate the opportunity to hear more from Mr Bang

  5. just listened to the recording. also today i got the big volume of photographs by giuseppe pino, one of my fav jazz photographers. there is a great picture of the trio, with no faces or bodies just hands that r holding sideways the instruments. tx

  7. I can't thank you enough for all the great music you share. I'm on a Billy Bang kick at the moment and really wishing I'd seen him play live when I had the chances.
