Muhal Richard Abrams - Live in Rome '79 [2]


I've already posted here the first of two evenings with the Great Muhal
at the Roman Jazz Club "C.J. St.Louis". Here's the second with some music even more fascinating.
The photo above (January '80) was taken in Muhal's apartment at Manhattan Plaza, NYC.

    don't think I've mentioned it before, but I've thoroughly enjoyed listening & re-listening to the Laren concert of his that you posted some time ago - it's right up there in the very top tier of bootleg concerts I've heard & one I can't get enough of

    Wonderfully recorded by my dear friend Claudio, this Muhal's concert remains among the best things i've never listened by the Great Chicagoan pianist. A true lesson about piano jazz and not only. Higly recommended !
