ReplyDeleteThanks, Nick. That completes my set of Alan Davie albums. Better known as an artist, it's a pity he didn't produce more music.
ReplyDeleteIf you're interested in Davie's paintings, Douglas Hall's book (Lund Humphries, 1992) is worth tracking down.
ReplyDeleteThank-you so much

ReplyDeleteAlan Davie is always welcome and this lp is as great as the preview ones posted here, it is also the opportunity to hear Ray Warleigh, a musician that haven't recorded many music unfortunately.
ReplyDeleteafter a second listening of this album I can say that the music is just incredible by the musical territories covered at the same time. It is totally fantastic. I will burn a cdr to play it on my sound system, this music needs perfect speakers.
