SWING JOURNAL JAZZ WORKSHOP: 4 "2 TO 10 / SAXOPHONE ADVENTURE" (PHILIPS, 1970)
If someone would have asked me whether this LP is available at Inconstant Sol I would have answered with a firm "yes".
But I was wrong. How come I had this 'false memory' I don't know but now I'm almost 100% sure that I got this rip from Nick already five years ago....

ReplyDeleteKann das sein?
HUGE THX!...
ReplyDeleteJa kann gut sein. Beim letzten Gespräch war 'For Example' für Anfang oder Mitte Dezember vorgesehen. Werde mal nachfragen.
ReplyDeleteZu "...du machst mich fertig" - gern geschehen ;-)
Thank you Ernst, bring on the bass clarinet!
ReplyDeleteErnst, much thanks! I was hoping a rip exists as Nick posted scans on Discogs.
ReplyDeleteDo you perhaps have Percussive Unity Live? That's another one I'm looking for.
Hi mvns - unfortunately I don't have Percussive Unity Live. Not on vinyl and not as a rip.
ReplyDeleteMaybe Nick will read this comment and will find time and leisure to offer a rip.
ReplyDeleteSabu was trying to organize as re-release for some time, but I think licensing issues prevented it.
OK - now I remember why it wasn't posted here before. Thnx
ReplyDeleteah -- yeah, I heard from a friend of Sabu's that this was happening as well. I'll ask around and see what's up. Looking forward to finally hearing this crazy thing.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
ReplyDeleteThank-you very much
ReplyDeleteAppreciated, thanks.
ReplyDeleteErnst this post made my eyes bug out, brother. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteWord from anyone on a upcoming release of this would be very interesting. I can tell before even hearing this that I would be down for a copy. What an amazing looking band... and duo!
great record, Mototeru Takagi is incredible. It is also incredibly rare.
ReplyDeleteI add my voice to the request about Percussive Unity Live, I have never heard this band but the combination of the instruments seems exciting.
This will be reissued by universal Japan only on lp, it will be available in the middle of July
ReplyDeleteobviously the lp reissue of this title that was scheduled for July 2021 have been canceled without any further date.
