ReplyDeleteHello! Thank you, but the file is corrupted. Could you re-upload, please? Thank you.
ReplyDeleteI just downloaded it , extract and listened: everything looks alright to me
ReplyDeleteMany thanks corvimax!!! Never knew of this one. Have most all of Kalaparusha's work.
ReplyDeleteI downloaded, extracted and am listening to this right now. All seems to be just fine with the file. Thanks again. Maybe they should try to re-download it.
Oh, unfortunately, when I try to extract, it says that the file must be corrupted... no luck. thanks.
ReplyDeleteI even tried with another computer and happens the same; "your file must be damage"

Many thanks
ReplyDeleteer, and whoelse have problems extracting, try with a newer version of winrar, that may be the problem. I use winrar 5.5
ReplyDeleteThanks corvimax. finally worked. best to you
ReplyDeleteInteresting to notice that less and less people post a comment to thank the contributors but when there is a problem, everybody's running to ask help
ReplyDeleteI have listened to this a few times now and it is excellent corvimax!!! Perfect fidelity be damned. I am enjoying this recording immensely. Thanks again.
ReplyDeleteSuch a pleasure to hear Kalaparusha in a duet setting. A format he never really utilized (at least as far as recordings go). There is another cdr recording of these two from a few years later "Prisoner Of Hope". Both probably artist sold releases. Not to much info out there about either of these.
It is really a shame that his life took him to places that really caused him not to be recorded for a good 15 years from the early 80's through the late 90's. I have always loved his playing.
A unique recording!!!
@Jeff
ReplyDeleteIf you are interested by "Prisoner of Hope" I discovered that it is available at Itunes
Thanks for the info correct silence. There is also a used cd available on discogs.com. I may go after the physical copy. I have issues with companies that sell music, but only offer it in lossy format. It just doeasn't seem right (aka amazon and itunes etc). I usually buy digital at bandcamp and other labels that make there titles available in WAV or FLAC.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Jeff, unfortunately sometimes you haven't got the choice. For exemple I have discovered the 3 lp + some more live of O.M.C.I Organico Di Musica Creativa & IMprovisata taht are only available on iTunes in a lossy format. But in that case the files have been directly transferred from a lp and to be honest I've burnt some cdr from those files and the sound is incredibly good. Same situation with Third Stream by Niels Viggo Bentzon who is only available in a digital version at iTunes, the physical is an lp that will be available soon.
ReplyDeleteYou are correct, silence.:) I agree sometimes there aren't any other good options. I have bought some mp3's in my time, of some very hard to find stuff. Also bought some in the early days, but I try not to anymore. Some do sound great.
ReplyDeleteBut I really wish more labels that make digital downloads of there titles available for purchase, would more regularly include the liner notes, back cover etc. That would be a nice practice in the digital medium.
Hi there .. I have DL'd a few albums from here in the past few days .. thanks for your efforts .. BUT .. They all sound TERRIBLE ! . you (or someone) has used a load of "de-noising" or "click-removal" processing and everything sounds like it's going thru a cheap flanger or something ... or like a 64K mp3 ! .. I can't believe you can't hear this ! ? .. you must have terrible speakers/amplifier or something .. (listening on laptop speakers ? ) or if not that .. at least have "cloth ears" .. (SORRY ! ) .. MUCH better to live with the "natural" sound of the vinyl than to try and "clean it up" (MASH it up !) like this ! . I can't believe there are no other comments on this ? .. so I presume you are just "moderating" them out ? .. please be brave and leave this comment in to see how many people agree ! ? .. or at least .. if you remove it reply direct to me
ReplyDeleteHi skydive. I can't speak for others but I never do anything to my own rips except removing manually some clicks 'n' pops.
ReplyDeleteAnd no - we do not moderate/delete comments about the sound quality of our rips.
And not at least - maybe you could be a bit more specific about which posts/rips you're referring to.
the one I was listening to as I posted was the Kenny Baron and Ted Dunbar .. listen to the piano on the start of track 1 "Summertime" .. sounds like a 64k (or lower! ) mp3 ! . as I said .. almost like it's going thru a rubbishy flanger ! if it hasn't been declicked/denoised I don't know how else it could have ended up like that ! ? .. .. I notice the same thing on quite a few of the other posts
ReplyDeleteI advised the sound here is low quality. no declickin, filtering or whatever done
ReplyDeleteYou know what .. I'm REALLY sorry .. wrong blog ! .. I did get a few from here but the Ted Dunbar/Kenny Baron is from "Muse Revisited" blog ! .. please remove my comments and sorry again !
ReplyDeleteMediafire link works fine.
ReplyDeleteThanks very much Corvimax !
