This is Intersystems, 27 years later. Of several Canadian artistic/musical productions (e.g. CCMC, Nihilist Spasm Band, The Artists' Jazz Band), the Intersystems LPs (No 1 Record, Peachy and Free Psychedelic Poster Inside) are my favourites, for Mills-Cockell's wild electronics and Parker's savagely satirical wit and vocal delivery. They were re-released last year individually and in a box set that has my highest recommendation, with great sound compared to earlier CD copies and what is on youtube (though an introduction is there if you haven't heard them). The accompaniment and poetry are less stark and challenging here, but definitely worth a listen.
THANK YOU!!! Very Very Much. I love Intersystems. And i was looking for that. And stopped hoping to find it. And here it is suddenly :) Thanks a lot!
ReplyDeleteBy the way if anyone intersted in Blake Parker's albums here's the link:
https://bluemp3.ru/mp3-jude-davison-blake-parker-online
There 3 albums avalable for download. Unfortunately it's nothing similar to Intersystems, but it's the same man who did what he did in the sixties.
Those Blake Parker / Jude Davison CDs are still available from cdbaby.
ReplyDeleteapart that I understand only the half of what he says, the music, when it comes, is very enjoyable.
ReplyDeletenew name for me this Blake Parker, thank you
