ReplyDeleteI've never heard this at all. I always like William Parker and Den(n)is Charles together.
ReplyDeleteNew to me also, sure to like it. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteThanks. I look forward to hearing this. I see William Parker with a good deal of frequency here in NYC and saw Eneidi a number of times. Sadly, I did not see Charles that much. I was thinking of him recently as Thomas Borgmann was passing through here. I think it was with him that I last saw Dennis Charles.
ReplyDeleteI saw Denis Charles a lot, especially with Joel Forrester.
ReplyDeleteThank you corvimax
ReplyDeletei can never listen enough to Marco's "Final Disconnect Notice" on Botticelli with Jimmy's widow and bassoon sorceress Karen Borca, which might as well also be dedicated in text to Lyons. What an ecstatic celebration of the legacy that was. i did not know this '86 one existed. i will listen in on what these friends had to say...when Jimmy was just then passing within days.
Isn't this the same trio as 'Cherry Box' on Eremite? That's a classic, really looking forward to hearing this, thanks for posting
ReplyDeleteThanks Corvimax - this was the only Eneidi(on Botticelli Rec. as is)recording I was never able to hear.
ReplyDeleteAnd I agree with Mark's comment about the 'Cherry Box'...or BUA's on 'Final Disconnect Notice'.
The Cherry Box has Donald Robinson drumming.
ReplyDeleteI'm in the new to me camp, too.
ReplyDeleteWell, guys, The Cherry Box is only the top of the iceberg. There is some more Eneidi here http://adarkershadeofjazzinn.blogspot.co.il/search/label/Marco%20Eneidi and a very good film on youtube. Coalition (there)and Live at Radio Valencia (impossible to find) should be some of his best.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
ReplyDeleteA treat for this weekend - thanks. The cover is excellent!
