what a lovely group of musicians to have come together. only ever heard naughton in braxton or wadada. this will be interesting for that alone, but, wow! lovely find.
ReplyDeleteOOPS Re: 1st comment ... should read "very early Pavone!"
ReplyDeleteHe plays a version of "The Dom" from "Digit" on his newest album "Street Songs". Also well worth the listen.

Cool, thanks.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
ReplyDeleteThis is s seriously good record.
ReplyDeleteBobby Naughton and Whitecage are superb, akLaff is always a total asset to any group he performs with.
Thanks so much Nick!

Oh, this is a good one! I haven't seen it in a while. Thanks for posting.
ReplyDeleteThank you Nick!
ReplyDeleteBought and heard Pavone's last two trio recordings 'Chrome' and 'Arc Trio'. Then went on to his work with Bill Dixon on Soul Note plus rediscovering his music from the 1990s. Now I listen to his earliest music. This one was missing from my appreciation-tour.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Nick.
Appreciated, thanks.
ReplyDeleteObviously nobody have noticed that track 1 and 2 are not complete...
ReplyDeleteIt's true - already burned me a CD a few days ago but haven't come around to listen. Listened now to the CD but the first two tracks are way too short.
ReplyDeletePlaying the files on my pc with the vlc player is similar. Track 1 ends abruptly after a bit more than one minute. Whereas track two doesn't even reach the one minute mark.
Please if possible reup the first two tracks.
ReplyDeleteHere are A1 and B1 - don't know how they got cut off.

@Nick
ReplyDeleteit is not A1 and B1 who have problems but A1 and A2. I think a complete new rip would be better to stop the confusion.
Yep - A1 is the correct one but A2 is missing.
ReplyDeletePlease re-up track A2.
