    Can you tell me if Alan Davie is same Alan Davie (the Scottish artist) who died earlier this year?
    There are some really interesting films of him online painting and playing piano.

    ...and yes, Martin - it is the same Alan Davie who has played with Oxley. And Peggy Guggenheim has bought a picture from him in 1948...

    I bought that book and have seen Alan's shows around Scotland. He's a favourite visual artist and several of his pictures have been used for great covers, for Incus, ADMW and Maya Recordings.
