ReplyDeletePush Pull - thank you, Nick!
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of Push Pull before. Excellent!
ReplyDeleteThanks Nick for the upgrade!
ReplyDeletenice post!Jump up will surely come back into print, the cd version i have hat art 6139, sounds a lot better than the old tan/grey covered vinyl! with the Bonus of 'Tortuga'added!
ReplyDeleteThis is amazing!!! Thank you so much Nick for the post!
ReplyDeleteI always want an album with bassoon playing, and plus Hat Hut: well!
ReplyDeleteis there any chance for the complete Jump Up - What To Do About?
ReplyDelete- thanks anyway for your work!
Thanks a lot, Nick. Jimmy Lyons is always welcome.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking for Jimmy Lyons & Andrew Cyrille - Burnt Offering (1982). Anyone could help?
dan-the-man
Thank for the Great Jimmy Lyons !
ReplyDeleteDAN... burnt offering is available from Cam Jazz, they are selling wav downloads of most of their catalogs.. and hard copies..
ReplyDeletewe don't post stuff here that is in print..sorry

ReplyDeleteWhat Nick doesn't explicitly say with his post is that the track he has posted here from the Jump Up vinyl triple LP [' What To Do About #1 And #2'] - is the track that never made it to the CD. Sotise points out, Hat did add 'Tortuga' [which is great] for the CD. But the CD loss of 'What To Do About #1 And #2' is a sad one. Fucking fantastic record.
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful! Thank you.
ReplyDeleteThanks SOTISE for the information. I didn't know that. And I didn't want to infringe the rules.

Somebody has been in my head!
ReplyDeleteI was just looking for these albums a couple weeks ago and came across what must be the same dead blog links that the original requestor mentioned.
Thank you for more gems!
Thank you! This is fantastic!
ReplyDeleteFor folks interested in the Black Saint/Soul Note work, it looks like Cam Jazz will shortly be coming out with a box set of the work. And many prominent sellers offer the MP3s for a low per-track price (so Burnt Offering is about three bucks for three tracks).
Thank you, Nick!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! I've been wanting to hear these for a long time --- never could find a used LP or CD of either. (And as much as I like the Hat CD design aesthetic, the LPs were even more beautiful.) I'll definitely spring for the reissues when Hat gets around to doing them --- thanks again!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Nick!!
ReplyDeleteBig THX !....
ReplyDeletePush Pull has now been reissued on the Corbett & Dempsey label. I have one on order, hopefully to arrive soon.
ReplyDeleteHI Nick, hope you don't mind but I've deleted your comment with the working link to 1f.
ReplyDeleteSee Tantris comment above - very nice made reissue!
Could someone please re-up ONLY the Jimmy Lyons & Sunny Murray Trio's
ReplyDelete"What To Do About #1 and #2"? These are the tracks that didn't appear on
the CD reissue and were only on the original LP.
I'd be grateful. Thanks.
Only one track, actually, hereby supplied:
ReplyDeleteAdrive
Thanks so much for supplying that missing track.
ReplyDeleteNice scans, too! Merci!
