Thanks (Again!) Nick! When i hear a piece like Beautiful Africa, it reminds me how much Bobby Few's piano playing resembles (a much more restrained) Don Pullen, imo. But even more importantly, i'm consistently amazed at the high quality of your vinyl transfers you generously share with us! --dandor
Excellent request and excellent re-up. Thank you Nick. For those who are interested in the more recent work of Bobby Few he have played a couple of years in the "undivided", a band lead by polish clarinetist Waclaw Zimpell. They have made two records, one in quartet and the second in quintet with the addition of Perry Robinson. Both have been published on the multi kulti label and I think are still available.

ReplyDeleteThanks. I have this, but don't mind a digital backup. The title track is a stunner!
