ReplyDeleteExcellent! Thank you Onx.
ReplyDeletethanks... love it!
ReplyDeleteOnx, am I correct in thinking that Klaus Koch died not long ago? I have a vague memory of reading that somewhere. He plays delightfully here (and on the excellent "Berlin Abbozzi").
ReplyDeleteHe died already on November 7, 2000 in Berlin.
ReplyDeleteHe was born 2. September 1936 in Leipzig.
He played Albert Mangelsdorff, Manfred Schoof, Christian Escoudé, Trevor Watts, John Tchicai, Steve Lacy, Willem Breuker, Evan Parker, Peter Brötzmann and Paul Lytton.
Other partners were Maarten Altena and Joëlle Léandre.
He played in a trio with Jay Oliver and Buschi Niebergall.
He was active in Georg Gräwe's Grubenklangorchester etc etc...
Not to forget his seminal playing with his collegues from (former) East Germany.
Thanks for the continued education.
ReplyDeleteHi, onxidlib could you also consider this for a re-up please, thanks again
