Appreciated, thanks. I remember seeing a Steve Potts quartet session on a French LP long ago, never got to hear it.
ReplyDeleteSteve Potts is one of the greatest unsung sax guys of all-time!
ReplyDeleteWoaow !
ReplyDeleteMuch thanks, cool stuff.
Great post..Steve Potts is one hellva musician..To my mind he totally stands out from the crowd..Well anyone who got as many call to arms as he did from Steve Lacy has gotta be somethin' else..And he really is..Perhaps after Jimmy Lyons I can't think of many sax players who are as criminally under most folks radar as rhis man is..Many thanks for the post.
ReplyDeleteWell-recieved here. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteSo much good music on Sol, I'm just getting to this one in the last couple of days. I've played it twice - I liked it the first time and it's growing on me! The harmony work between Potts & Ferris is wonderful - especially where they emulate Lacy & Potts, except it's SS & Bone! There's good humor, the feeling of great memorial honor to U No Who, serious Jazz, improvisation, and some heavy jammin' too. Anyone on the fence - don't hesitate. Thanks to the poster and all involved in bringing these good things to light!
ReplyDeleteCan you please post this one with a new downloadlink?zippyshare says file not found; THANKS ALOT
ReplyDeleteRe-up of upkerry14's share as a single archive
