  1. Nick, you are really laying an education on the great unwashed masses, and those spruced up,too!
This is one helluva an album, and an old favorite-maybe MD will see this and see the intrest, and reissue it with bonus material.
Brighton was a great guitarist, and is sorely in need of a comeback. And NOT AT ALL a clone of Derek, except to people that think SRV is a Jimi clone, maybe.
Just the thought of Bead records was exceedingly brave and thought-provoking.Everybody marsh tonight!

  2. Thank you, Nick.
Wanted to hear this BEAD LP already for a long time.
More than any other from the catalogue.
Years ago when I ordered several LPs from PW it was already gone.

  4. Yeah, this is a really good LP. I had tried to get in touch with Ian a few years ago but it didn't work out. Anyone got solid contact info for him?

  12. Thanks Ian. How can people contact you for a copy and are you OK with the files being downloadable?

  13. This music is pure beauty. Thank you very much. I also like the sound, with the distance in which the instruments appear.

  14. Listening with real interest and enjoyment to this. I was one of the people who wrote to Ian as he indicated that he had some LPs left - hopefully we'll see some form of reissue at some time, as this is very good indeed. Not only Marsh Gas, but a sense of the will o'the wisp around this music.

I fully agree but I can imagine free uploads in music blogs might make musicians/labels change their mind about re-issuing old material. Some o.o.p. titles reach a few hundred downloads here, documenting an interest in the music which is lovely, but how many of those downloaders would still buy a new re-issued copy if they have a full flac set on their harddrives?
(I understand the author of the quoted lines above would, so no offence in that direction)

One might say: Look - this brings attention to a particular release. Right here!
Well, there's other ways to do that (excluding the freely available flac set).

I'm absolutely sure the re-issue request above happened out of honest interest, but still... placed under a link to a freely available flac set I can't help seeing a cynical or at least paradox side to it.

  19. New 1fichier link doesn't seem to work for me, has anyone else tried?

  20. I assume Nick kas deleted the link.
I'm in the process of buying this LP from Ian Brighton.
Shall ask him wether he objects the offering of a link here.
If not I shall re-up the LP.
