Hi Igor
Thanks, Nick.
ReplyDeleteNick, that's fantastic!!!
ReplyDeletei can't express the whole scale of emotions that i'm feeling now, seeing this stuff on top of the blog, even being notified of a possibility of that it can happen some day!)) it is like receiving a holyday present i was dreaming about, i'm so happy!
thank you very much, Nick!
Igor
thank you, indeed! As a student I used to go round the corner to the London Musicians Collective to listen to these guys. I am not sure any of us knew how lucky we were. It was just as the first wave of gentrification was setting in, well before re-gentrification and re-re-gentrification. The loss of interstitial spaces where people gracefully did wonderful things at little expense in the central city and the glut of suits instead has done us more harm than we shall ever be able to measure. Anyway, great to have this, as a memory but more so as a vital listening experience. msj
ReplyDeletethanks very much... indeedly!
ReplyDeletethanks a lot for this fine rip, nick! is there any chance for "my favorite animals" on nato?
ReplyDeletecheers, lucky
Y'all know the one about all mans endeavors, I don't think it was meant to be inclusive of IS and what goes down here. Thank you Nick and Thank you Igor for requesting this prime slice of beef. Simply Tasty
ReplyDeleteI have that one Lucky, is it OOP?
ReplyDeleteYes, the Alterations LP "My favourite animals" on NATO is OOP.
ReplyDeletenick - on the nato site's page for "my favorite animals" there's a link to the 'les allumes du jazz' homepage - but it's a dead link, it doesn't go nowhere. to my knowledge this vinyl lp never saw a re-release in any form since 1984.
ReplyDeletethe only alterations in print might be the "voila enough!" live compilation cd on atavistic (in the 'unheard music series') - the only one i have in physical form. according to discogs there has been another cd issued in denmark in 2000 ("alterations live"), which is oop, too.
looking/hearing forward... greetings nick + onxidlib!!!
lucky :)
p.s.: correction - the "alterations live" cd is still in print from intuitive records, denmark (google it)!
ReplyDeletel:)
after has been mentioned in request section I was curious and looking for it, here it is! thank you Nick
ReplyDeletei have been listened to the "alterations live" cd from intuitive records several times already - and it's simply mindblowing! great sound quality, absolutely recommendable. and these are not short tracks, but long improvisations with a lot of happening...
ReplyDeletehere you can reach carl bergstrøm-nielsen who runs intuitive records in denmark:
