One good Sol brother once commented how it’s better to share this stuff than to have a pile of cassettes doing nothing in a box. So here’s another one that won’t eventually end up in a skip without a trace. If any of you connoisseurs out there can help with titles, that would be appreciated.
At the gig I remember particularly enjoying Gerd Dudek’s
gorgeous soprano on The Peacocks and being mesmerised by Connie Bauer’s amazing multiphonics. In memory of the great Tony Levin and Rob Van
Den Broeck. Enjoy. (It’s a big file)

Thanks very much for sharing this.
ReplyDeleteThanks Andy, I have recently ripped some of The Quartet LPs, so it's nice to hear them live and with Tony Levin. If I can pick out titles, I'll add them to comments, but there are probably people much quicker and more musical than me.
ReplyDeleteWay better than a skip deserves. Thanks.
ReplyDeletewow... thanks Andy!
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot - especially for the Mega links, they're deliciously fast.
ReplyDeleteThank you Andy! Nice work capturing the show. It really opens up when you give it a little volume (so thanks for letting it out of the box!). Some great playing here by all too. I also appreciate the mega links.
ReplyDeleteIt always feel weird when I come across a recording of a concert I was at. The music is lodged away in my memory and then it's here again in the present tense. I always remember this as the last concert I went to before I moved from Manchester in the UK, so this is special at all sorts of levels. Many, many thanks Andy.
ReplyDeletebeautiful! thank you
ReplyDeletegreat to have more Dudek. His album 'smatter' on Psi also features Tony Levin and includes a beautiful (drumless) rendering of 'the peacocks'. Thanks for this.
ReplyDeleteBig THX !....
