I would be glad if anyone can supply alternative DL option here, as daily limit on my free RS account is usually reached quickly. Thanks.

  2. Hi Milo - here is some information about the album:"...experience with this punk jazz group Alfred was getting a vision about a future project that combines more of diversified genres in one: Not only Punk & Jazz, but Dada & Free Music, also New Music & Literature and melt them together in one. He contacted his former Just Music cello player, Thomas Stoewsand, who then worked as Manfred Eicher's right hand for the label ECM, and they agreed producing an LP "Es herrscht Uhu im Land" for ECM's daughter label JAPO in 1980.For the early genre mix project "Es herrscht Uhu im Land" Alfred Harth invited trombone & violin player Annemarie Roelofs because she had been familiar with multiple styles, free music drummer Paul Lovens whom he had worked with in 1972, of course Christoph Anders from his recent punk jazz combination, Rolf Riehm as a New Music composer and whom he still was working with in the Sogenanntes Linksradikales Blasorchester, as well as Heiner Goebbels.
Rolf Riehm’s composition for the LP "Es herrscht Uhu im Land" is called “Der Main”, using a poem by Friedrich Hoelderlin."

  3. Thanks for the alternate link. A free RS account is pretty much useless these days.

  5. @SOTISE you probably never heard him improvise, because he doesn't do it (to my knowledge): rolf riehm is indeed a composer (and a great one, too), but not to confuse with wolfgang rihm - whom i can't imagine to participate in a project like this ....

  6. Anyone else get a FLAC decode error with track 20? I re-downloaded, tried it with 3 different decoder programs, no luck...

  7. No error - just tested it...maybe you just rename the track.
    Sometimes this helps.

  10. First I want to say how much I value the contributions here. inconstant sol is a boon to humanity!

ALSO, I've been very interested in uncovering the music of Anne Marie Roeloffs, since seeing her stellar performance at the Lindsay Cooper Memorial in London in 23014. Lo, here she is on this recording! I haven't seen any mention of her participation in this anywhere else. So a hearty thanks for this offering.
