ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU SO MUCH! I've been looking for this for aaaaaaaaages. Woza!
ReplyDeleteHello Jazz Fans. Just to make it clear that this is Mujician and Ingoma playing together as one band under the direction of Keith Tippett. However I did also record the first set which consisted of a lovely piece by Zim Ngqawana's Ingoma which was then followed by a 19 minute piece by Mujician. Is anybody interested?
ReplyDeleteThe photo above was taken by Paul Dunmall when Mujician visited South Africa. Sadly both Zim and Tony Levin are no longer with us. (Yes, that is Keith Tippett in the background.) Big thanks to onxidlib as ever for his work helping me get this to you. What a great site this is!
Super & superb. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot! I'm very interested on it!

pleaseeee yes!
@ Anonymous. I thought you'd never ask.
ReplyDeleteHey Andy
ReplyDeleteI would be very interested in that first set with Zim.
I knew him personally, we have a house not far his place in Troyeville, Johannesburg. According to me, the jazz scene in South-Africa is a desert now , everybody is doing...Blue Notes tributes, I think he was the only one capable of taking it beyond that....
