ReplyDeleterare & most welcome - I'll be very much looking forward to hearing this one - esp. w/ Cyrille propelling all - thanks!
ReplyDeleteThis should be exciting. Bozo has been privleged to hear, a long time back, a cassette {Remember those?]of this band at the Knitting Factory with Denis Charles on drums:maybe that will surface on this forum eventually.
ReplyDeleteKaren Borca added so much to Jimmy Lyons great legacy that it is fantastic to hear projects of her own. Schweizer ia an acknowledged goddess of the music and works well with the awesome Mr. Cyrille,as is apparent in great albums on the "Intakt" label.
many thanks onxidlib for this rare post. for me karen borca is the best free jazz female instrumentalist. period. i like most of her recordings so i'm excited to hear this one as well. i remember her great concerts in warsaw during jazz jamboree festival in cecil taylor orchestra (in the mid-80's).
ReplyDeletebest regards.
